Bradley A. Scherer
President and Founder

Mr. Scherer is owner and founder of the Atlantic Western Companies and is a Licensed Florida Real Estate Broker with 36 years of commercial real estate brokerage, management and finance experience. He has been recognized as a qualified expert on commercial real estate matters in a wide range of judicial venues, including Federal Bankruptcy Court, Federal and State civil courts, and for various municipalities.

 

From 1980 – 1993 Mr. Scherer served in a variety of senior bank officer positions primarily focused on non-performing asset management including:

  • Real Estate Loan Officer for First National Bank in Palm Beach, Florida (now Wells Fargo Bank) and was responsible for the workout of a $65mm troubled construction Loan portfolio;
  • Senior Vice President and Workout Division Head for City Federal Savings Bank and the Resolution Trust Corporation responsible for the workout and disposition of a $200mm troubled debt portfolio;
  • Senior Vice President and Regional Head of Workouts for Midlantic Bank/PNC Bank ; responsible for the fast-track management and liquidation of a $300mm portfolio of non-performing commercial real estate and loan assets in Florida.

Mr. Scherer holds a B.A. in Economics and Finance from the University of Virginia and graduated as a 2nd lieutenant from Culver Military Academy. For more than 40 years, Mr. Scherer played competitive high goal polo, both nationally and internationally, achieving a 5-goal rating outdoors and an 8-goal rating indoors.

Lester “Red” Armour, III
Equestrian and Land Sales

Mr. Armour has been a Licensed Florida Real Estate Broker with Atlantic Western since 1995. He has extensive experience in equestrian and polo markets throughout the United States, with particular knowledge and expertise in polo and equestrian real estate development and agricultural operations in South Carolina, Wyoming, Texas and Florida. As one of the United States’ most notable professional polo players achieving a  9-goal handicap, Mr. Armour served as a United States Polo Association Governor for eight years and, in 1999, was inducted into the United States Polo Hall of Fame. Along with his 30 year professional athletic career, Mr. Armour was involved in the formation, management, operation and sale of some of the United States’ most iconic polo and equestrian properties and clubs. Mr. Armour has been a Wellington resident since 1980. He attended Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas.

Ms. Laura Linfoot
Residential, Equestrian and Ranch Sales

Mrs. Linfoot is a licensed real estate sales agent with Atlantic Western Realty Corporation, and has over 20 years’ experience in polo and equestrian management and sales.
 

Since 2007,  Ms. Linfoot has served as the general manager of Port Mayaca Polo Club, located in Port Mayaca Florida,  managing over 500 acres including providing asset management services on private farm holdings and running the day-to-day operations of the entire 10 field polo club and managing a 1,000+ acre Property Owner’s Association.  Ms. Linfoot is experienced in turf, livestock and ranch management, veterinary matters,  as well as horse training and breeding.  In 2002, she graduated cum laude with honors from Texas A&M University with a bachelor of science degree,  and hold sports turf management certification from Ohio State University.
 

Ms. Linfoot assists Atlantic Western Realty Corp. in residential, equestrian and ranch sales in the Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie County areas.

Bettina Holland Scherer
Vice President

Mrs. Scherer is a Licensed Florida Real Estate Broker who has been affiliated with Atlantic Western since 1991, focusing on real estate asset management.

 

For 14 years, Mrs. Scherer served as a Development Partner with Trammell Crow Residential and as the Vice President of Development for Gables Residential (REIT), an IPO created by Trammell Crow Residential. During her tenure with Crow/Gables, she was directly responsible for the acquisition, development, entitlement, financing, construction and management of over 3500 multi-family units in South Florida.

 

Mrs. Scherer has been a resident of Palm Beach County since 1984 and holds a paralegal degree from the Adelphi School, Garden City, New York.
